🔒 Our Privacy Commitment

CompoundFig was built with privacy by default. Most calculators on this site run entirely within your web browser — your numbers never leave your device. When we DO collect data, it's minimal, anonymized where possible, and never sold.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary:

  • Aggregated, anonymous analytics. Page views, device type, country-level location, and browser. No individual identifiers. We use privacy-respecting analytics that do not track users across sites.
  • Voluntary contact forms. If you write to us, we receive your name, email, and message so we can respond.
  • Essential cookies only. We use cookies to remember user preferences (dark mode, last-used calculator inputs) and essential site functionality. No tracking cookies by default.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

  • ✗ We do NOT collect your calculator inputs or your financial numbers. Calculations happen locally on YOUR device.
  • ✗ We do NOT sell, rent, or share any personal information with advertisers.
  • ✗ We do NOT install third-party tracking networks that fingerprint you across the web.
  • ✗ We do NOT create user profiles. We have no "accounts" system and we don't want one.

3. How We Use Information

If you contact us voluntarily: to reply to your message, fix bugs you report, and occasionally to send you a one-time follow-up if we've implemented a feature you suggested. We never add you to a mailing list without explicit consent.

4. Cookies

By default, CompoundFig uses only strictly necessary first-party cookies, meaning:

  • Preference cookies: remembers dark/light mode toggle, last selected calculator, whether you've closed a one-time notice.
  • Local storage: calculator inputs you typed (to persist across page reloads). Stored only on YOUR device.

5. Third Parties

We work with a small number of privacy-friendly vendors. At this time:

  • Hosting providers (e.g. Cloudflare/Vercel) to serve the site — who may keep standard server logs.
  • Anonymous analytics (if enabled) — aggregated, no personal identifiers.
  • Search engines (Google, Bing) — standard sitemap submission, no user-specific data sent.

6. Children's Privacy

CompoundFig is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will promptly remove it.

7. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and others)

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of any personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of personal information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the basis for processing).
  • File a complaint with your supervisory authority.

8. Changes To This Policy

We will post updates to this page with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes (e.g., new data practices), we will add a prominent notice on the site for a reasonable period.
